The trek to the base camp (4131 meters) follows the Modi River through dense bamboo forests and open mountain farmland, you will stay in picturesque guesthouses adorned with flowers, looking over the vast expanse of the Himalayan range.

An early start to visit Poon Hill and the amazing panoramic view of the mountain range stretching off into the distance really gives you an understanding of the incredible size of the Himalayan range, this is not to be missed, the view is spectacular!

Fishtail

Machapuchare or 'Fishtail'

Enter the 'Sanctuary' and experience a sheer wall of snow capped peaks that will take your breath away.

Visit the Jhinu hot spring on your way back down to relax your muscles ready for a night in Pokhara the beautiful lakeside town, spend the next day exploring it's temples, take a boat out on the lake or just relax in one of it's many coffee houses or bars.
